A couple of weeks ago at our “Hands On Purpose” mastermind meeting, I was on a rant about how “you will never be wealthy if…” It raised a ruckus of commitment among our mastermind members. Some folks were even inspired to commit to greater levels of support in their lives and businesses.
So, here’s my top 3 list of how to never be wealthy – and how to change that!
#1 You Insist On Doing It All Alone
“If you can’t hire help, you will never be wealthy.”
My first assignment to many of my mentoring clients is to hire a bookkeeper and personal assistant. I watch women dream of financial independence but they have trouble feeling worthy to hire help to grow their businesses.
As you feel more worthy, you are able to delegate more of the responsibilities that don’t belong to you. Also, you develop a spiritual backbone so you can hire (and fire) people with confidence and clarity.
#2 You are Receiving –Challenged
The ability to hire help implies you have the ability to receive help. In other words, you feel worthy and deserving of the resources, assistance, money and education necessary to achieve your goals. If you don’t feel deserving of a bookkeeper’s help, how will you feel worthy of financial independence?
Notice how you receive compliments, gifts, money. Do you feel your response to another’s generosity in your body and say “thank you?” Or are you silent, dismissive, deflecting, defending, explaining?
Do you let your children help you? Do you allow your romantic partner to hold you affectionately, do things for you, pamper you? Do you allow pleasure without feeling you have to do anything in return? Just notice.
#3 Denial About Your Life Purpose
I wish this affliction were less common. It afflicts rich and poor, literate and illiterate, young and old. It is the denial of your Life Purpose, your reason for being.
Does your life reflect your greatest vision or are you settling?
It has affected me as well. Believe me, I understand. I have had a fingerprint in my palms indicating that being a “healer” is a part of my Life Purpose. 15 years later – with a healing opportunity to wake me up! – I am now accepting that “healer” is a part of my journey.
It is awkward and uncomfortable to attempt to achieve our life goals if we are not aligned with our purpose. You might make money, but it won’t make you wealthy.
