A healer in communication with a client!
A client asked me recently,“Baeth, what is the difference between a healer, a shaman and a spiritual teacher?” It is an excellent question and one worth attempting to answer.
The Healer: “The Inspirational Communicator”
In the hands, the healer marking can show up as a special fingerprint on the left little finger or in the palm of either hand as a series of vertical lines under the little finger that appears like this:

Healer (‘Medical Stigmata’) Gift Marking
Each vertical has a special meaning. You require at least 4 verticals in this location to ‘qualify’ for this gift.
|
The healer specializes in deep, meaningful one-on-one communications. The healer is both a deep listener and a thoughtful question-asker, advice-giver and consultant. Typical professions for the healer include mentoring, coaching, counseling, psychotherapy, and the metaphysical arts (tarot reading, astrology, hand analysis, etc.). Many healers also work in holistic and Western medicine. The key here is the connection with the client.
Some healers plateau in their craft and become bored without sufficient verbal and/or written communication with the client. For example, if you have this gift marking, and you only do body work, it may not be sufficient for deep communication and you may grow bored.
You are a transformational catalyst and a cheerleader for the success of your clients. You help them see where they are off the mark and help them integrate their body, mind and soul into one congruent unit. You understand that healing resides within your client as their birthright and you faciliate their remembering of their true self.
For you, it is essential that YOUR healing is a priority. If you neglect yourself to care for others, you are on the student path, rather than the master path, of the healer. To heal yourself and help others open to their own healing, you are guided to trust the process and surrender to life’s unfolding, rather than always needing to know “why.” The need to know why can actually get in the way of your healing and that of your clients.
It is more important to help your clients see the connection between their thoughts, emotions and actions and help them resolve any blocks to feeling good and joyful about their lives and their dreams.
If you resist the call to heal, it will show up primarily in your intimate, romantic life. The reason for this is two-fold. The first reason is technical; the marking shows up in the intimacy zone of the hand. Secondly, if you don’t communicate as fully as you are designed to do, communication shuts down everywhere – and it hurts the most with your beloved. So, if you have this gift and you find that you are single, estranged or in a communication stand-off with your sweetie, it’s time to heal yourself and assist others in healing their lives. This will reveal your next steps.
To your health – salud!
The Shaman: “The Bridge Between Wildness and Civilization”
Every pair of hands has a ‘shamanic’ zone. It’s located at the lower edge of the palm, just before the wrist, on the little finger side of the hand:

Shamanic Indicators in the Hand
These are common indicators of strong shamanic power in your life. Even one of these indicators gives you strong shamanic power. They can appear on both hands or either hand:
|
The shaman is the bridge between your instinctive self and your civilized self. Many people in today’s modern world have lost touch with their instinctive self. This is primarily due to less time spent in nature and more time spent working inside. When most people lived off the land as nomads, foragers and farmers, they were dependent upon the cycles of nature cooperating to ensure survival. Today, we can stay up late, buy food in a store, and pretty much forget there are trees outside. I’m not suggesting this is good or bad. Modern living is comfortable and convenient.
Yet, modern living has its price.

Someone with strong shamanic abilities helps us connect back to the part of our psyches that feels a unified connection with the universe. Initially, to experience this re-union, some people require altered states, perhaps brought about by drugs, sweat lodges, vision quests involving water, food and/or sensory deprivation, intense drumming, chanting or electronic vibrational music, to remember their capacity to feel connected both to their soul and all of life.
The shaman’s own work is to discipline his or her own mind, body and soul to a place of consistent connection with a unified, universal or ‘one-ness’ consciousness. No easy feat, but then again, the shamanic path calls out to those who know it is their only choice and to resist is futile.
The Spiritual Teacher: “The Revealer of Core Identity”
There various markers in the hands that indicate you are a spiritual teacher. The spiritual teacher is here on earth to help you discover your core identity – your ‘real’ self – and express that real self in a meaningful and purposeful way. In other words, spiritual teachers are teachers of purpose and help you discover, embrace and live your Life Purpose without apology.

Fingerprint in the Moon: As shown in the photo, if you have a fingerprint in your moon, you are here to help others discover and live their life purposes. (Hand analysis is a brilliant tool to assist in this ‘identity’ identification process.)
If you do not assist others, you will experience the student path of this marking, which is a spiritual crisis of meaning. Symptoms of this crisis include disillusionment, stagnation, alienation and depression. You may find yourself asking, “Does my work really matter anyway? Who cares?,” or “Why am I here?” or “What is the meaning of life?” A spiritual crisis can last a few hours, a few days, a few months, a few years or a lifetime. Your choice. Your search for your purpose will experience relief the very instant you start helping other people find life direction. |

Line of Clairvoyance: As shown in the photo, a line of clairvoyance is a curved line that encircles the Moon area of the palm. It can appear on the right or left hand or both hands.
This is a gift marking indicating an ability to help people discover their true purpose and life direction. If you have this gift, you may see, hear, or feel the truth. You can see below the surface to the hidden workings of situations and the hidden players in your clients’ life dramas. You provide intuitive guidance and keen observations to help your clients resolve their inner conflicts and say ‘yes’ to their real soul purposes. However, if you resist doing this work in the world, you will experience the ‘penalty’ or student path of this marker. Much like the fingerprint in the moon, if you refuse to offer guidance to others, you yourself will become clouded, confused and lost about your own direction. The pain of this existential crisis sometimes becomes severe enough to trigger suicidal thoughts. If you have succumbed to this level of pain, I urge you to seek out a reputable and talented spiritual teacher to help you realign with your life purpose and map out a plan of action to get back in the game. A spiritual teacher doing his or her life’s work is one of the most joyful, open-hearted people on the planet! |
I hope these explanations were helpful. Depending on your own hands, you may have none of these areas emphasized, one of them, some of them or all of them.
Whatever you discover, I invite you to consider what influence these roles (healer, shaman, spiritual teacher) have in your life. The world craves you. Bring yourself to the world.
To YOUR Purpose – It’s In YOUR Hands (nobody else’s!)
